The acceptance of applications for participation in the comprehensive testing for admission to the magistracy has started. Registration will take place on the website of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan until July 15, 2022.

Applicants will be able to make changes to the application for the group of educational programs, language and place of testing before the deadline for accepting applications. Information about the date of testing will be available in the applicant’s personal account. The comprehensive testing itself will begin on July 20 and will last until August 10.

“Comprehensive testing is conducted in electronic format and consists of three blocks: a foreign language test, a test to determine readiness for training and a test on the profile of a group of educational programs. This generally takes 4 hours. Applicants who have one of the international certificates confirming proficiency in a foreign language are exempt from taking a test in a foreign language,” said Ruslan Emelbayev, Director of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For applicants, an instruction has been introduced to determine the conformity of areas of education for admission to the master’s degree. This is necessary to maintain continuity, continuity of educational programs and improve the quality of training of undergraduates. Therefore, before submitting documents for a particular educational program, applicants need to consult with the university admissions committee on the format of comprehensive testing and compliance of the chosen educational program with the specialty that the applicant received in the bachelor’s degree. Consultation can also be obtained in the virtual admissions office of the university.

This year, the passing score for admission to the scientific and pedagogical magistracy is 75 points, for admission to the specialized magistracy – 50 points.

In case of disagreement with the results of comprehensive testing, applicants can file an online appeal after completing the testing.
