Extremism and terrorism have become one of the most dangerous problems of our time, and pose a real threat to the national security of the country. In this regard, today it is very important to create strong immunity among young people to the effects of propaganda of religious and political extremist organizations, and to form social activity among young people.
Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekova is actively working in this direction together with the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent. A meeting was held within the university with 1st year students.
Speakers invited to the meeting were: Head of the Department of “Public Harmony” of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of the city of Shymkent Abdikarim Nurzhan Kenesuly, Head of the Department of “Organization and Coordination of Outreach Work” Tillabek Sayan Adnabekuly, and also attended by the Vice-Rector for Educational and social work of the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov Sadykov Berdykul Kadyrkulovich and students of university.
Students were actively interested in sources of reliable information and rules of safe behavior on social networks. The main tips: trust only official sources, which, by the way, are also represented on the World Wide Web, avoid communicating with people who persistently shift the conversation to religious topics, remember that extremist ideology sooner or later leads to the suppression of the individual and the destruction of a full life .
