Students and teachers of the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov discussed the Address of Kazakhstan. The head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Jurisprudence, Kynatbek Kemelbekov, delivered a welcoming speech at the university. According to the historian, it is important for students to take part in meetings where upcoming changes in the country are discussed, which will only have a positive impact.
One of the 9 important topics in the President’s Address entitled “Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism” is the construction of nuclear power plants. Everyone knows that a referendum on the construction of nuclear power plants will be held on September 6. Citizens of the country who have reached the age of majority can participate in it.
The President is confident that it is necessary to consistently increase the country’s human resources potential. The urgent task is to provide the economy with qualified personnel. First of all, it is necessary to overcome the acute shortage of industry specialists: water workers, builders, power engineers and many others. In addition, the form of professional education is important.
“I declare 2025 the Year of “Working Professions”. During this time, it is necessary to carry out a reform of the technical and vocational education system. The Year of Working Professions will also promote the idea of hard work and professionalism in our society. It is not for nothing that people say that labor is the key to wealth. Our society must understand that honest and responsible work will certainly be appreciated. This goal is also served by awarding citizens with honorary titles. Such awards were previously introduced for teachers, doctors and cultural figures. This is a very good initiative, this approach should be applied more widely,” says Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is worth noting that now the main task of Kazakhstan’s universities is to introduce the younger generation to the President’s Address and convey current topics.
