German Research Foundation + Central Asia

The German Research Foundation (DFG) presented a comprehensive poster collection prepared as part of the «Research Networking – German Universities of Applied Sciences» and «Researchers from Around the World» initiative. This special initiative was implemented to support universities of applied sciences in building and strengthening international research collaborations.

This collection presents the scientific research of PhD, associate professor, Chief Researcher E-Tech Hub B.Ye. Zhakipbayev (Alumni of the International Scholarship program «Bolashak»; Laureate of the FNN award) of the Peoples’ Friendship University named after Academician A. Kuatbekov.

The collection reflects the strong interest and active participation of all three research communities from Germany, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The publication includes 234 posters presented by experienced scientists and young researchers, providing a rich overview of their research interests and expertise. It serves as a valuable resource for initiating and expanding scientific exchange to promote collaborative, knowledge-based research abroad.

The poster collection follows the structure of the three participating countries and three thematic areas selected for this initiative, including Central Asia. The DFG will support this bottom-up process by holding further online meetings on the relevant research areas in January 2026.

We are confident that we will find inspiring ideas, potential areas for collaboration, and new partners for future joint projects.
