Qaz Science: Meeting of young scientists

On December 6, 2023, a gathering of young scientists took place in Shymkent. Organizers: National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the akimat of the city of Shymkent, the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Alageum Electric JSC took part in the event “Integration of science and business: the path of growth of regional industries”, “Innovations in technology: prospects and challenges for young scientists” and “Young scientists on the front of the scientific revolution: discoveries, problems, prospects.”

During the event, a plenary meeting of young scientists, sectional lectures on various fields of science, and familiarization with the production bases of Alageum Electric, KKR, and Trenco RandD were organized.

Zakarya Kunsulu Daltonkyzy, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Al-Farabi State Prize in the field of science and technology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, delivered a welcoming speech. In her report, she spoke about the instructions of the Head of State, the opening of a regional branch of the Academy in Shymkent, the relevance of science and the importance of integrating science and business.

Well-known scientists and rectors of regional universities made presentations at the plenary session, who spoke about the development of science in universities: Zhumadildaev Askar Serkululy – Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor; Yeralieva Lyazzat Tasbolatkyzy – Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; Yergaliev Kuanysh Asylkhanuly – Chairman of the Board of the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Association of Healthcare Managers”; Rysbekov Myrzabek Myrzashuly – Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy; Kozhamzharova Daria Perneshkyzy – Rector of South Kazakhstan University named M.Auezov; Temirbekova Zhanar Amangeldikyzy – rector of IKTU named HA.Yassawi; Kuatbekova Rabiga Abdimusakyzy – Rector of the Peoples’ Friendship University named after A.Kuatbekov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor; Nurlybaev Ruslan Yergaliuly – Director of the Department of Science of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Appazov Nurbol Orynbasaruly – research professor at Kyzylorda University named Korkyt Ata.

The reports of young scientists were held in 4 sections: “About earth, space and communications”; “About agrobioresources and ecology”; “On education and civil society”; “About life and health.” At these sections, special seminars and exchange of views on priority areas of science were held.

At the section “About Earth, Space and Communications”, Yessenov Maksat Kenzhetayuly, Vice-Rector for Digitalization of the Peoples’ Friendship University named A.Kuatbekov, gave a report “Data Driven: data processing, analysis, visualization, data-based management”. Bibol Zhakipbayev – chief researcher E-Tech Hub, PhD, associate professor was the official representative of the organizers in Shymkent.

It should be noted that the Head of State of 2023 on September 1, in his Address to the People “Economic Landmark for a Fair Kazakhstan,” noted that “Comprehensive support for youth is one of the main tasks of our state”.

The scientific event “QazScience: Meeting of young scientists” was held at the highest level, where during the event, dedicated to strengthening the dialogue between representatives of science, business and industry in the region, various ideas for promoting domestic science and the country’s economy were voiced, and participants exchanged experiences. In addition, initiatives to popularize science were presented and memorandums of cooperation were signed.
